Deborah Vaughan

Deborah Vaughan (MPRIA) has worked within marketing and communications for more than 20 years and has accumulated experience in many industries, incorporating the government and not-for-profit sectors as well as private enterprise.

Prior to joining Font Public Relations, Deborah was marketing and development manager for the Royal New Zealand Ballet in Wellington, New Zealand where she managed a team of five people and was responsible for brand integrity both throughout New Zealand and internationally.

Previously to New Zealand, Deborah produced a wide range of significant communications projects for the Australian Government’s Minister for Tourism, based in Canberra, including the Emerging Markets Strategy – China and India and the communications plan for the Tourism White Paper.

Other interstate roles include publishing and publications work for the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, shopping centre marketing for Westfield and consulting for a diverse range of clients in industries including medical insurance, IT, management consulting and a visual arts gallery.

Having now chosen Tasmania as home, Deborah's earlier experiences of the state include working as marketing and communications manager for the Theatre Royal as well as in public relations consulting for Tasmanian clients.

In her role as consultant with Font Public Relations, Deborah develops strategic marketing and communications plans and provides clients with high level advice regarding image, reputation and targeted communications.  A results driven individual, Deborah's maturity and creative flair make a valuable addition to the team. 

She has been presented with a number of industry awards during her career and now sits on the Board of Kickstart Arts in Hobart. Deborah holds a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Writing and a Graduate Diploma in Dance and Movement.
